The Siegman Update

Is it really already the middle of November? Where has this year gone? I think I say that alot. I find myself constantly trying to keep up as time keeps slipping away. So here I am on an absolutely beautiful Sunday afternoon, taking a moment away from folding clothes and picking up the house, to type an update.

Braden is driving his car in the back yard and Madelynn and Kamryn are helping daddy in the kitchen. Daddy is cooking breakfast for lunch and the girls are helping him stir the pancake batter. Their favorite.

Madelynn is really enjoying first grade. She has her BFF in her class. She and Lauren have grown up together as we met them when we first moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma, when Madelynn was just 3 months old. Madelynn was recently recognized at her school for reading 100 books. She has really grown to love reading and her favorite book right now is the Junie B Jones Series. She sleeps with it and tries to read it every chance she gets. For Christmas, she has asked for more Junie B Jones books.

Braden loves his pre-K class at John Ross Elementary. He has made great progress this year! Playing is still his favorite part of school but he is making steady progress in learning to write his name.
After watching his cousin Allie Grace play soccer, he is super excited about starting soccer in the Spring. We will register in January but he is already practicing at home by kicking and showing me how fast he can run! Thank you Allie Grace for getting him super excited about this sport!

Kamryn goes three days a week to her preschool class at Santa Fe Day School. She loves her teacher! She is all about her clothes these days and loves to dress herself every morning. The only problem is she LOVES to wear skirts, hates to wear long sleeves and her color coordination is quite off! She has her own style and her own way of doing it. There are some days we can get lucky and she will wear an outfit that actually goes together but most days we just let her go with whatever she chooses. It can be quite comical some days. Below are two pictures taken a few weeks ago when we met at a park for some big family pictures. The first picture shows her wearing what she insisted on wearing. What you don't see is the brown and turquoise tank top that she refused to take off. She wanted the tank top, brown skirt and the khaki jacket. Not too bad but the tank simply didn't match and it was picture day. I was able to convince her to let me put a pink top OVER the tank top so that it at least matched the skirt.

All in all, this wasn't half as bad as other mornings. After we took our family pictures, I was able to convince her to play dress up and put the dress that I wanted her to wear OVER her skirt and tank top. She did it and had a great afternoon strutting her stuff!

Jack is currently exploring a new employment opportunity and we are excited about the future. He has spent the last seven years growing a business with his dad and brother and it's now a great time to begin a new adventure. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek God's will for our lives and where He wants us to be right now. We know that God is in control and will lead us through these changes. We are praying for His direction in our lives right now.

Here's to a Beautiful and Happy Day!
